Banner at the New Year

Postby jocund » Fri Jan 01, 2010 5:56 pm

Rain made the trails muddy but our group of 5 had a lot of fun. Also saw Cortland but with little mud on him. I was wondering what trails he was riding.Saw many new log rides.

Court rides so fast his wheels just glide over the mud

We ran across Courtland as well, I think he floats above the trails. We were the other group loading up in the Black Dodge.

I've been in contact with event organizer and helped him work a shuttle plan from the fire station on Olalla Valley Rd. I also let him know he needs to get a sani-can. The start/finish will be at the blue gate on Olalla Valley, away from the primary Banner parking area.

I advised him that Newberry would be a much better venue for a race since it has a lot more parking and a lot of area to pass in.

FYI, I was contacted by an adventure race organizer that wants to use Banner as well this year for 50-100 people.

Interesting, I never knew that website existed...

It would be interesting to know if the Banner Gnomes support a race on the trails they care about so deeply. Especially wondering which trails they are planning on using and how much road.

Racers are the worst when it comes to advocacy with worrying about their heart rate and all...

Also real surprised there's a piblically posted race at the Tapeworm this weekend. I'm sure PSE is all over that. Hmmm.....
