Tanner Jeans Memorial Bike Safety Rodeo

Appears June 11th was a very popular date with the Duthie 1yr Party, a few races around the regions occurring on Saturday.
I spent my day out at the Tanner Jeans Memorial Bike Safety Rodeo. The weather was very comfortable. Over a thousand neighborhood kids had their bikes inspected by Gregg's Cycles and Dirt Corps. Those that did not have a helmet or a working helmet were given a new helmet at no charge.
From there they moved on to Police supervised bike instruction. Where they had several course stations setup with obstacles, stop signs and mock traffic. They would get a brief instruction then would go through that station and get their card checked off before moving on to the next section. After all the sections are completed they receive a free swag bag, t-shirt and certification of completion.
Johnsonville Brats was there again with some awesome dogs and brats for free along with soda's and chips. There were jumping inflatables for kids to enjoy. For the more adventures kids and there were many from 2yrs old to Adults that came out to enjoy our section the Mountain Bike skills course. I am so sore after half a day of helping kids through course. It was so much fun to watch these kids giggle and have big smiles after going through our section. The day just flew by we were so busy.
We had shutdown for five minutes to eat a quick lunch and when we opened back up the line up of kids waiting. Felt like something you'd see at Disney Land for some amusement ride. Compass Outdoor Adventures brought out bikes and helmets to get some of the parents to join their kids on the course. We had a few takers and I really looking forward to doing this again next year.
Here is a video of part of our course. There was hardly any time to film the entire course with the number of kids coming through.
